Rotate image
Turn photos and images 90° or 180°, one or a whole batch at a time.
Runs in your browser. Your file is never uploaded.
Rotate image in short
Add one or more images: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF or SVG, then select Rotate left or Rotate right until the preview is the right way up. Flip is there too if you need it, then save, then download the images one at a time or together as a ZIP. It's free, there's no sign-up, and it runs in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.
How to use Rotate image
- 1Add one or more images: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF or SVG.
- 2Select Rotate left or Rotate right until the preview is the right way up. Flip is there too if you need it.
- 3Save, then download the images one at a time or together as a ZIP.
Good to know
- Every image in the batch gets the same rotation, so add sideways photos together and upside-down ones in a separate run.
- JPG, PNG and WebP stay in their own format. HEIC and AVIF are saved as JPG, or PNG if they have transparency; GIF and SVG are saved as PNG.
- JPG and WebP are saved again at 92% quality, which you won't see but does mean a tiny loss. PNG is lossless.
- The camera's orientation tag is applied first, so the preview matches what you see in your photo app. Saved files carry no EXIF data or GPS location.
- This tool runs in your browser. Very large files depend on your device's memory.
Rotate image: common questions
- Is Rotate image free?
- Yes. Rotate image is free and works without an account, for images up to 25 MB, 5 at a time. A free account raises that to 50 MB and 10 at a time.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Rotate image runs in your web browser, so the file is read on your own device and never sent to ConvertFile.
- Does Rotate image work on Mac, Windows, Android and iPhone?
- Yes. It runs in any modern web browser, with nothing to install. Very large files work best on a desktop or laptop, because in-browser tools use your device's memory.
