SVG to PNG converter

Turn SVG logos, icons and diagrams into PNGs for slides, documents, email signatures and apps that don't take SVG. The background stays transparent, and nothing is uploaded.

Runs in your browser. Your file is never uploaded.

How to convert SVG to PNG

  1. 1Drop one or more SVG files into the box above.
  2. 2Leave PNG selected, then pick a size: 1× is the size the SVG states, 2× and 4× are sharper and larger.
  3. 3Select Convert, check the result in Compare, then download the PNGs or a ZIP.

What you get

  • One PNG per SVG, with the same name and a .png ending.
  • Transparent areas stay transparent.
  • Size comes from the SVG's width and height, or its viewBox when those are missing. An SVG with neither is drawn 512 pixels square. Renders are capped at 8,192 pixels a side.
  • Fonts and images the SVG links to on other sites aren't loaded, so text in a linked web font falls back to a system font. Fonts and images embedded in the file work.
  • Up to 5 images at a time without an account, 10 with a free account and 30 with Pro.

Limits

  • Without an account: files up to 25 MB, 5 files at a time.
  • With a free account: up to 50 MB, 10 files at a time.
  • Very large files depend on your device's memory, because the work happens in your browser.

What happens to your file

Your file never leaves your device. The conversion runs in your browser using code from our site, and we don't receive the file, its name or anything inside it. How we handle files.

SVG to PNG: common questions

How do I get a high-resolution PNG from an SVG?
Pick 2× or 4× before converting. An SVG is drawn from shapes, not pixels, so a 4× PNG is just as sharp as 1×, only bigger: a 200 × 50 logo becomes 800 × 200 pixels.
Why does my text look different?
The SVG probably names a font that isn't on your device, or links to a web font. Browsers don't fetch outside files when drawing an SVG as an image. In your design app, convert text to outlines before exporting the SVG, and it will render exactly.
Can I convert SVG to JPG instead?
Yes, pick JPG. The transparent background becomes white, because JPG can't store transparency.
Is it safe to open an SVG from somewhere else?
Here, yes. SVG files can contain scripts, but your browser draws them as a plain image, which never runs scripts or loads linked files. And the file doesn't reach our server.
