Font converter
Convert fonts between TTF, OTF, WOFF and WOFF2 for websites and design apps.
Runs in your browser. Your file is never uploaded.
Convert fonts between TTF, OTF, WOFF and WOFF2
Font Converter turns desktop fonts into web fonts and back. Convert TTF or OTF to WOFF2 for the smallest web font, which loads fastest on your website, or turn a WOFF or WOFF2 back into a TTF or OTF you can install on your computer.
WOFF and WOFF2 are compressed wrappers around the same font, so nothing about the letters changes. Convert several fonts at once; they're processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Add one or more font files, then pick WOFF2 for websites, or TTF/OTF to install on a computer, then select Convert and download. It's free, there's no sign-up, and it runs in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.

Good to know
- WOFF and WOFF2 are compressed copies of the same font for the web. Converting back gives you the original TTF or OTF.
- TrueType (TTF) and OpenType CFF (OTF) outlines are kept as they are, so a TTF comes back as TTF and an OTF as OTF.
- Check the font's licence before putting it on a website.
- This tool runs in your browser. Very large files depend on your device's memory.

Why use ConvertFile
Google's WOFF2 compression
The compression Google designed for web fonts. A WOFF2 is usually much smaller than the TTF it came from, so pages load faster.
Outlines untouched
TrueType and CFF outlines are kept exactly, so a TTF comes back as TTF and an OTF as OTF.
Never uploaded
Your font is processed by your own browser and handed back as a download. It isn't sent to our servers, so there's nothing for anyone to see, keep or leak.
Works on any computer or phone
Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook, iPhone and Android, in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Nothing to install, and the tool keeps working if your connection drops once it has loaded.

Font converter: common questions
- How do I convert TTF to WOFF2?
- Add the TTF, choose WOFF2 and select Convert. Use the WOFF2 file with @font-face on your site.
- How do I convert WOFF2 back to TTF?
- Add the WOFF2 and choose TTF/OTF. You'll get the original TrueType or OpenType font out.
- Can I use any font on my website?
- Only if its licence allows web use. Check the licence before converting a font for the web.
- Is Font converter free?
- Yes. Font converter is free, works without an account and adds no watermark, for files up to 25 MB. A free account raises that to 50 MB.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Font converter runs in your web browser, so the file is read on your own device and never sent to ConvertFile.
- Does Font converter work on Mac, Windows, Android and iPhone?
- Yes. It runs in any modern web browser, with nothing to install. Very large files work best on a desktop or laptop, because in-browser tools use your device's memory.
