What you get

  • Headings, paragraphs and bulleted or numbered lists come out as real Word headings, paragraphs and lists.
  • Headings use Word's built-in Heading styles, so they show up in the navigation pane.
  • The layout, fonts, images and tables are not recreated. Tables come out as lines of text.
  • Repeating headers, footers and page numbers are left out.

Limits

  • Without an account: files up to 25 MB and 150 pages.
  • With a free account: up to 50 MB and 400 pages.

PDF to Word: common questions

Is this PDF to Word converter free?
Yes. It's free without an account for PDFs up to 25 MB and 150 pages, or 50 MB and 400 pages with a free account.
Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
No. You get the text and its structure, not a copy of the page. That makes the document easy to edit, but images, tables and multi-column layouts need tidying by hand.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to Word?
A scanned page is a picture with no text in it. Run it through OCR PDF first to add a text layer, then convert the result to Word.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is read and converted by your browser. The file doesn't reach our server.
