Terms of use

These terms apply when you use ConvertFile, a service run by an independent sole trader based in Victoria, Australia. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Using the tools

• Only process files you have the right to use. Don't use the service to remove protection from documents you are not authorised to change.
• Don't try to get around plan limits, overload the service, or access other users' files.
• Check results before relying on them. Tool pages describe known limitations, for example that cropping does not remove hidden content and that a signature image is not a digital signature.
• Keep your own copies of important documents. Results from server tools are deleted automatically.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password secure. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Subscriptions

• Pro is billed in advance monthly or annually through Stripe and renews automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
• If a payment fails, Pro continues for a short grace period while payment is retried, then the account moves to the free plan.
• Prices shown during testing are placeholders. [Refund policy, tax treatment and consumer-law wording to be finalised before live payments.]

Availability

We aim to keep the service available but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted. Features may change. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Liability

The tools are provided free of charge and “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the site. Always keep a copy of your original files. Where the Australian Consumer Law gives you guarantees that can't be excluded, our liability is limited, where the law allows, to supplying the service again.
