Flip image

Mirror images left to right or upside down, such as selfies and scans.

Runs in your browser. Your file is never uploaded.

Flip image in short

Add one or more images: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF or SVG, then select Flip horizontal to mirror left to right, or Flip vertical to turn it upside down as a reflection. Rotate is there too, then save, then download the images one at a time or together as a ZIP. It's free, there's no sign-up, and it runs in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.

How to use Flip image

  1. 1Add one or more images: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF or SVG.
  2. 2Select Flip horizontal to mirror left to right, or Flip vertical to turn it upside down as a reflection. Rotate is there too.

Good to know

  • Flip horizontal fixes mirrored selfies, where text in the background reads backwards.
  • Every image in the batch gets the same flip.
  • JPG, PNG and WebP stay in their own format. HEIC and AVIF are saved as JPG, or PNG if they have transparency; GIF and SVG are saved as PNG.
  • Saved files carry no EXIF data or GPS location.
  • This tool runs in your browser. Very large files depend on your device's memory.

Flip image: common questions

Is Flip image free?
Yes. Flip image is free and works without an account, for images up to 25 MB, 5 at a time. A free account raises that to 50 MB and 10 at a time.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Flip image runs in your web browser, so the file is read on your own device and never sent to ConvertFile.
Does Flip image work on Mac, Windows, Android and iPhone?
Yes. It runs in any modern web browser, with nothing to install. Very large files work best on a desktop or laptop, because in-browser tools use your device's memory.
