Add image to video
Put a logo, watermark or picture on top of a video.
Runs in your browser. Your file is never uploaded.
Add a logo, watermark or photo to your video
Add Image to Video places a picture on top of a video: your logo in the corner, a watermark across the whole clip, or a photo for part of it. Choose one of seven positions, set its width as a share of the video and its opacity, and decide whether it shows all the way through or only between two times.
PNG images with a transparent background keep their transparency, so a logo sits cleanly on the footage. Everything runs in your browser, so neither the video nor your logo is uploaded.
Add image to video in short
Choose the video, then the image (PNG with transparency works best for logos), then pick the corner, size and opacity, and optionally when it shows, then select Add image and download the MP4. It's free, there's no sign-up, and it runs in your browser, so the file never leaves your device.
How to use Add image to video
- 1
Choose the video
Pick the video to brand. MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and phone videos work.
- 2
Add the image
Choose a PNG, JPG or WebP. For a logo, a PNG with a transparent background looks best.
- 3
Place it
Pick top left, top centre, top right, centre, or one of the bottom positions. Set the width from 5% to 100% of the video, and the opacity from 10% for a faint watermark to fully solid.
- 4
Choose when it shows and save
Leave it on for the whole video or turn on Only for part of the video and set the times. Select Add image and download.
Good to know
- Transparent areas of a PNG stay see-through.
- The first time you use an audio or video tool, your browser downloads our 31 MB processing engine. It's kept for next time, so later runs start straight away.
- Processing happens on your device, so speed depends on your computer. A minute of 1080p video takes roughly one to three minutes on a recent laptop; phones are slower.
- This tool runs in your browser. Very large files depend on your device's memory.
Who uses it
Branding a video is the quickest way to make sure it's credited when it's shared.

Why use ConvertFile
Transparency kept
See-through areas of a PNG stay see-through, so only your logo shows.
Size, opacity and timing
Control how big it is, how solid it looks and exactly when it appears.
Never uploaded
Your video is processed by your own browser and handed back as a download. It isn't sent to our servers, so there's nothing for anyone to see, keep or leak.
No watermark, no sign-up
The video you download is yours as it is: no logo stamped on it and no account needed. It's free for files up to 500 MB.
Files up to 500 MB free
Videos up to 500 MB work without an account, and Pro raises that to 2 GB. Big files are read from your disk as they're processed, not loaded into memory first.

Add image to video: common questions
- How do I add my logo to a video online?
- Choose your video, then your logo (a transparent PNG is best), pick a corner, size and opacity, and select Add image. The logo is burned into the video, so it shows in every player.
- How do I add a watermark to a video for free?
- Add your logo or text image, set the opacity to around 30–50% and the width to suit. There's no charge and we add no watermark of our own.
- Can I show the image for only part of the video?
- Yes. Turn on Only for part of the video and set the start and end time.
- Can I add text instead of an image?
- Yes, with Add text to video. It works the same way, with your choice of colour, size and background.
- Is Add image to video free?
- Yes. Add image to video is free, works without an account and adds no watermark, for files up to 500 MB. Pro raises that to 2 GB.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Add image to video runs in your web browser, so the file is read on your own device and never sent to ConvertFile.
- Does Add image to video work on Mac, Windows, Android and iPhone?
- Yes. It runs in any modern web browser, with nothing to install. Very large files work best on a desktop or laptop, because in-browser tools use your device's memory.
